The view was split by the road. On one side, the black  stakes tumbled down into the valley below, meeting the scattered buildings. On  the opposite side, they climbed the gentle hills, reaching poetically toward  the pale sky. The striking contrast of black stakes against the pristine  white snow allowed me to begin imposing my own order. I found diagonals and  converging lines, organizing the chaos and leading my eye upward.

As I walked along the road, I discovered some small, young trees buried  up to their crowns in the snow, standing in a parallel row, mimicking the  strict alignment of the stakes. Yet, their delicate bare branches offered a  welcome visual softness, breaking the almost too-austere order of the  vineyard. A realization dawned on me: in our own world, we see those who push  for rigid structure and those who prefer to hang more loosely. Could it be  that, as these two distinct rows move up and over the hill, they are ultimately  striving to converge—to form a perfect balance between rigidity and softness?

A  realization dawned on me: in our own world, we are constantly pulled between  those who demand rigid order and those who prefer to hang loosely.  As these two parallel lines ascend the hill together, I wonder if their shared  trajectory is a hope for true convergence— a perfect, essential balance between necessary structure and vital flexibility.

What it takes to make a photograph like this

Me in the vineyards looking for interesting abstract minimalist compositions. Note snow back behind me!

Long view of a field of stakes looking out to the valley. We were scouting the area to find more interesting angles to take. Note the way the sun picked out spots on the landscape to shine upon.

Our trusty dapper  taxi driver. We don't quite see suits, ties and white gloves on taxi drivers back home! I worry that I gave him Covid as I later that day got it only to fly home with it!

Previewing Converging on a wall...

A sample of how Converging might look on your wall. This could do well in an office or entryway. Black and white images do well with light or dark colors as a backdrop. Frames it as the wall color dictates.
